À quoi sert l’éco-participation ?

At Seasonova, we firmly believe that today, it is no longer possible to talk about tourism without talking about responsible tourism.

Aware of the impact our activities have on local communities and destinations, we have chosen to place this responsibility at the heart of our development strategy.

With this in mind, we created the subsidiary Seasonova Sustainable Development in 2025, funded through your eco-contribution. This entity is dedicated to implementing and managing our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) strategy.

Thanks to your contribution, we are able to finance the projects, tools and support needed to help our campsites move towards increasingly environmentally and socially responsible tourism.

A structured approach to supporting the transition of our campsites

Cécile Esvan, CSR Manager of the Seasonova Group

Cécile Esvan
CSR Manager, Seasonova Group

This initiative is led by Cécile Esvan, CSR Manager of the Seasonova Group, who supports our teams in implementing environmental initiatives across all our campsites.

Her role includes:

  • Supporting campsites in obtaining sustainability certifications

Certification schemes provide genuine roadmaps that help us structure our continuous improvement process and measure our progress.

In 2025, 12 Seasonova campsites obtained the Destination d’Excellence label, an accreditation promoted by Atout France that recognizes excellence in guest experience, service quality and environmental commitment.

Two campsites also joined the Green Key certification process, the leading international label for sustainable tourism. This certification is based on criteria related to water and energy management, waste sorting, responsible purchasing, guest awareness and staff training.

In 2026, six campsites are preparing for their Green Key audit, while eight others are working towards obtaining the Destination d’Excellence label.

Our ambition is to go even further by pursuing the European Ecolabel, one of the most demanding environmental certifications in the tourism sector. It recognizes achievements in energy and water savings, waste reduction, the use of renewable energy, protection of the local environment and support for local economies.

The costs associated with these certification processes are funded through your eco-contribution, as is the position of Cécile Esvan, who works within the Seasonova Sustainable Development subsidiary.

  • Developing monitoring and continuous improvement tools

To better measure and reduce our resource consumption, we are gradually deploying the Ocell solution across our campsites.

This tool enables real-time monitoring of water consumption and allows us to quickly detect leaks.

By combining this data with overnight stay information from our booking software, we can now measure consumption per overnight stay and more accurately identify areas for improvement.

The implementation of this tool is funded through the eco-contribution.

  • Supporting environmental and social impact projects

Since 2022, Seasonova has participated in the Ecologic Program alongside the SLB Group and Stéphane Ledentu.

The program aims to restore land degraded by intensive agriculture through tree planting. In 2022, 1,935 trees were planted in the state of Paraná, Brazil, helping preserve 1.2 hectares of native forest and contributing to the sequestration of an estimated 929 tonnes of CO₂.

Seasonova is also developing several sponsorship partnerships to support projects with a positive impact.

The Group contributes in particular to the preservation of the black bee, a species that plays a vital role in biodiversity, and supports the association “Je pars, tu pars, il part”, which helps make holidays accessible to people who would otherwise be unable to take them.

  • Implementing concrete actions

We are currently rolling out outdoor lighting equipped with motion sensors and powered by solar energy in order to reduce our energy consumption. These installations have been funded through the eco-contribution.

In the future, we intend to continue this energy transition by developing photovoltaic projects across several of our campsites.

The CSR Team: committed people driving our approach forward

The CSR Team

Members of the CSR Team contribute to building Seasonova’s CSR roadmap.

To involve our employees in shaping our CSR strategy, we created the CSR Team, an internal committee bringing together staff members from both our head office and campsites.

Led by Cécile Esvan, this team actively contributes to the development of our CSR roadmap.

Expert support to help us move forward

Because an effective CSR strategy also requires expertise and methodology, Seasonova is supported by R3, a consulting firm specializing in sustainable development strategies.

Working alongside the CSR Team, R3 helps us structure our approach, define measurable objectives and prepare our first Group CSR Report, which will transparently present our actions, results and areas for improvement.

The support provided by R3 is made possible through your eco-contribution.

In 2027, Seasonova will continue this momentum by conducting a Group Carbon Footprint Assessment, enabling us to identify our main sources of greenhouse gas emissions and define priority actions to reduce them.

A commitment to transparency and continuous improvement

Our ambition is not to be perfect, but to improve year after year.

The eco-contribution helps fund this continuous improvement process.

Thanks to your contribution, you are actively supporting the development of tourism that is more respectful of local communities, the environment and the people who bring these destinations to life.
